Alex Lovell was introduced to the sounds of jazz and big band music from a very young age. She especially enjoys listening to the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Marion Montgomery, and The Andrews Sisters, just to name a few. She grew up learning various instruments; however, while enjoying the rise in popularity of karaoke nights in her late teens, she discovered her best instrument was her voice. Alex started taking singing lessons, entering competitions, and attending open mic nights, and before long, she was invited to join a live band as their lead singer. Since then, Alex has been singing jazz solo with high-quality backing tracks and with live musicians, forming combos ranging from duos to big bands. She continues to enjoy singing lead and backing vocals with a variety of bands in and around Kent, UK.
